Overview
As Senior Electrical Engineer, you will shape electrical design across the lifecycle of water and wastewater projects to improve environmental outcomes. You’ll work within a cross-functional team in the UK water market, contributing from concept to commissioning and ensuring compliance with standards. You’ll engage clients, coordinate with suppliers, and mentor graduates, driving safe and high-quality delivery. This role offers the chance to influence major infrastructure under AMP8 and collaborate across the Mott MacDonald Bentley joint venture.

Responsibilities
- Prepare and review electrical designs for water treatment equipment on client sites
- Work with Motor Control Centres, LV distribution, cabling, instrumentation, Industrial Networks, PLCs and SCADA systems
- Produce and review technical specifications and procurement documentation; evaluate supplier bids and submissions
- Supervise and mentor Graduates and Engineers to develop skills
- Apply and contribute to design standards (Client and WIMES) across projects
- Engage with clients to build relationships and support achieving their aims
Key requirements
- Degree in Electrical Engineering
- Chartered or incorporated member of a professional institution (e.g., ICE, IMechE) or equivalent experience
