Systems Engineer (Integration and deployment)

Overview

In this role you will operationalize complex, multidisciplinary training systems within a secure environment. You’ll bridge concept and delivery by integrating hardware, software, and networks, and by bringing systems through deployment and verification. You work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful commissioning and on-site delivery, contributing to mission-critical capabilities. A hands-on, practical engineer mindset is essential to shape robust, field-ready solutions.

Responsibilities

• Translate system requirements and architectures into deployed, operational solutions
• Support requirements, design, integration, verification, and testing across the full system lifecycle
• Integrate and configure hardware, software, operating systems, peripherals, and networking infrastructure
• Perform system bring-up, installation, deployment, and commissioning activities
• Execute system verification and validation testing
• Diagnose and resolve issues across hardware, software, and interfaces
• Produce technical documentation to support deployment and operation of systems
• Work on-site during integration and deployment phases to ensure successful delivery

Key requirements

• Experience in Systems Engineering, Systems Integration, Test & Integration, or related engineering discipline
• Experience across the system lifecycle: Requirements, Design, Integration, Test & Verification
• Strong hands-on experience with hardware integration, system configuration and deployment, networking, OS and application installation
• Troubleshooting complex technical issues
• Understanding of system-level behaviour, interfaces, and multidisciplinary engineering environments
• Be a British National and eligible to obtain SC Clearance
• Be comfortable working within a secure environment
