SCADA + Systems Integration Commissioning Engineer – Southern Water

Overview

Vous join an established contractor delivering major water infrastructure projects. You will support commissioning and integration of SCADA and telemetry systems across regional sites, collaborating with project teams and the Southern Water Operational Technology group. You’ll help design, install, test and handover systems safely and to specification. The role focuses on delivering reliable, compliant plant integration and continuing operational readiness. Responsibilities

• Support SCADA, telemetry, system integration and PLC replacement activities with project and commissioning teams
• Understand project interfaces and commissioning needs across existing systems
• Contribute to commissioning strategies, plans and documentation
• Maintain asset integration in collaboration with the Southern Water OT team
• Ensure installations meet technical standards, client specs and industry standards (e.g., WIMES)
• Follow MEICA and commissioning processes and procedures
• Coordinate commissioning with internal teams and supply chain to meet programme
• Support planning, progress tracking and commissioning meetings
• Ensure electrical and mechanical safety compliance
• Assist with FAT, SAT, dry/wet commissioning activities
• Maintain accurate records, test documentation and handover information
• Support training plan development and pre-handover readiness
• Resolve defects and outstanding works prior to completion
• Promote safe working practices

Key requirements

• Experience delivering SCADA, telemetry and systems integration in the water industry
• Experience supporting commissioning through to project completion
• Collaborative with project teams and clients to resolve issues and maintain progress
• Understanding of water industry processes and mechanical/electrical systems
• Structured and organised approach to commissioning activities
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office for reporting and communication
• Awareness of health, safety and environmental practices
• CSCS/ECS Card in appropriate discipline
• SSSTS
• Experience with Wonderware, Windows Server, RsLogix/Studio 5000, VMware, Simatic and Cisco
