Overview
In this role you ensure continuous production by rapidly fault-finding and maintaining equipment to minimize downtime. You will work within Engineering to support a manufacturing process that emphasizes safety and reliability. The position leverages your mechanical expertise to maintain hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, and automated plant, with a focus on planned and reactive maintenance. You will contribute to Marshalls’ engineering-led culture and the aim of building tomorrow’s world with durable, safe systems.

Responsibilities
- Ensure continuous production by reducing downtime through fault finding and maintenance of equipment
- Perform reactive and planned maintenance on hydraulic, pneumatic, and conveyor systems
- Maintain and service robots and automated process machinery
- Read and interpret technical drawings for repair and fabrication tasks
Key requirements
- Strong mechanical working knowledge
- Qualified / time served in a similar role; ideally NVQ 3 level
- Apprentice-trained preferred
- Experience with robots and automated process plant & machinery
- Mechanical fitting, welding, fabrication and general machining
- Experience in reactive and planned maintenance of hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors (belts, chain, rollers, bearings, gear boxes, motors) and reading technical drawings
