Overview

In this role you will lead the Early Intervention in Psychosis service, ensuring high-quality, evidence-based care through a multidisciplinary team. You’ll manage resources, supervise staff, and maintain strong inter-team communications to secure seamless care pathways for service users. You will oversee referrals, assessments, and aftercare, while aligning practice with professional conduct and governance. You’ll also engage with research projects and drive user- and carer-centred planning to improve outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Lead delivery of care within the EIProse model and supervise the team to ensure evidence-based practice
  • Manage operational resources and monitor service quality and cost-effectiveness
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary working and maintain strong interfaces with the Trust and partner services
  • Screen referrals and ensure comprehensive health and social assessments with appropriate aftercare
  • Conduct clinical and managerial procedures to maintain safe, effective care and governance
  • Ensure staff receive regular supervision, appraisals, and development aligned with Personal Development Plans
  • Promote user and carer involvement in care planning and service feedback
  • Engage with research projects in line with Kings Health partners tripartite mission
  • Implement and uphold complaints procedures including investigation, response, and resolutions
  • Establish and nurture relationships with internal and external services to support care continuity

Key requirements

  • Professional registration (RMN with NMC or OT or Social Worker with HCPC)
  • At least 2 years’ experience at Band 6 or equivalent in mental health services
  • Knowledge of Early Intervention in Psychosis care model
  • Understanding of relevant mental health legislation (Mental Health Act, Care Act 2014)
  • Experience in staff management and supervision
  • Knowledge of Clinical Governance, risk assessment and management
  • Experience with psychosocial interventions and multidisciplinary practice
  • Strong leadership and people-management
