Overview

In this role you will monitor and optimize the eFX trading book, assess risk, and generate data-driven trade ideas that expand Morgan Stanley’s eFX footprint. You will work closely with the trading desk and research teams to develop strategies and analytics grounded in market structure. You’ll interpret complex market data to support client service and risk management, contributing to a fast-paced, highly collaborative trading environment. Responsibilities

  • Monitor trading system and risk management for the eFX book
  • Research new opportunities and develop trade analytics based on market structure
  • Trade execution and risk control for the eFX book
  • Scan markets for eFX opportunities and generate actionable trade ideas
  • Manage daily P&L reporting and apply quantitative insights for relative value and valuation
  • Contribute to research and trading strategies using transaction and market data
  • Create data-driven content to showcase Morgan Stanley trading tools and client opportunities

Key requirements

  • MSc in mathematics, physics, or a similar quantitative subject
  • Extensive knowledge of FX market dynamics for G10 currencies; EM markets beneficial
  • Strong understanding of Macro HF, Macro RM, Cross-asset funds, and corporate client base
  • Excellent technical communication and ability to work independently
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with practical problem-solving and meticulous attention to detail
  • Ability to analyze and interpret complex information quickly and accurately
  • Familiarity with market making tools
  • Experience using Bloomberg and advanced Excel
