Overview
In this role you will join Morgan Stanley’s Investment Banking Division, focusing on the Financial Institutions Group (FIG) in London and covering the Benelux region. You will work on diverse transactions (M&A, equity, debt offerings) and support client engagements with senior decision-makers from leading financial institutions. You’ll perform financial analysis, valuation, and strategic research, while contributing to client meetings and presentations. The position also involves mentoring junior colleagues and collaborating across groups to deliver high‑quality advisory solutions.

Responsibilities
- Manage and assist in the execution of corporate finance transactions (IPOs, M&A, strategic advisory)
- Perform financial analysis, valuation, strategic business analysis and industry research
- Contribute to team discussions and client meetings
- Provide rapid and accurate market judgments to colleagues and clients
- Prepare and deliver client presentations clearly and persuasively
- Act as a mentor to Analysts and promote team culture
- Collaborate with senior bankers across the team and other groups within IBD and Global Capital Markets
Key requirements
- Master’s degree in finance/economics/econometrics/engineering or overseas equivalent
- English fluency; Dutch would be an additional benefit
- Relevant Investment Banking (corporate finance/M&A) experience or equivalent
- Strong analytical and modelling skills
- Knowledge of basic accounting and financial concepts
- Leadership potential and professional integrity
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong work ethic, goal orientation and attention to detail
