Overview
In this role, you will design, develop and implement industrial tooling, fixtures and related production aids to support manufacturing and product development. You will work within the Operations Engineering team to reduce costs, improve yield and ensure right-first-time quality across the full product lifecycle. You will use CAD tools (CREO) and Windchill to deliver tooling solutions from concept through production, collaborating with engineering and manufacturing functions. This is a hands-on, cross-functional role with a clear impact on customer value and go-to-market milestones.
Responsibilities
- Develop tooling and fixtures across assembly, machining, composites, and additive manufacturing
- Create technical requirement specifications and detailed process instructions
- Generate Manufacturing BOMs and routings to ease manufacture
- Participate in customer and programme meetings and support capital planning requirements
- Support full-rate production and liaise with Industrial and Production Engineering teams
- Produce operational documentation and manufacturing data-packs
- Drive process changes and documentation updates to support Industrial Engineering activities

- Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma knowledge and quality toolkit experience
- Understanding of GD&T and datum structures
- CAD experience (CREO) for technical drawings
- Experience preparing operational documentation and manufacturing data-packs
- Experience driving change in process, behavior and culture
- Awareness of DFM/A and PFMEA principles
