In this role, you will design and analyse mechanical components for launch vehicles, turning concepts into manufacturable hardware. Responsibilities
- Design mechanical components, assemblies and systems for launch vehicle applications
- Create detailed 3D CAD models and technical drawings
- Support full product lifecycle from concept to manufacture and testing
- Conduct design reviews, tolerance studies and design-for-manufacture assessments
- Collaborate with manufacturing, test and systems engineering teams to ensure delivery
- Support prototype development, integration and testing activities
- Investigate and resolve engineering issues throughout development
- Contribute to continuous improvement and engineering best practices
Key requirements
- Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related discipline
- Experience in mechanical design within a complex engineering environment
- Proficient with 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, Creo, CATIA, or similar
- Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals, materials and manufacturing processes
- Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams
