Associate Mechanical Design Engineer

Overview

In this role you will lead the design and coordination of mechanical building services through RIBA stages, operating from a modern office near Royal Leamington Spa. You will engage with clients and design teams, manage key accounts, and deliver high-performance HVAC design that complies with Building Regulations and CIBSE. You will support bids, contracts, resources and fee forecasting alongside the Director. The position offers a clear path to Associate Director within 12 months for the right candidate, in a growing consultancy with a strong project workload in pharma, hospitality and education.

Responsibilities

• Design, plan and coordinate projects through all RIBA Stages
• Attend client and design team meetings
• Manage key client accounts
• Produce high-performance mechanical building services design
• Assist the Director with project bids, contracts, resource and fee forecasting
• Produce Mechanical and HVAC design that meets Building Regs and CIBSE guidelines

Key requirements

• At least 6 years experience within Mechanical Design Engineering
• Familiar with building regulations and CIBSE guidelines
• Experience working in a client facing role
• Experience working on programmes such as Hevacomp for Mechanical Design
• Good commercial awareness
