Overview
In this strategic role, you will lead subcontract and commercial delivery for complex Export EW programmes within the IMS sector. You shape procurement strategies across international supply chains, influence key decisions, and provide clear contractual direction to stakeholders and suppliers. You manage risk, drive contractual changes, and foster long-term supplier relationships to protect business interests. This position offers high-impact work at the intersection of defense programmes and commercial strategy.

Responsibilities
- Own the Procurement strategy and plan for Export – EW Typhoon across legacy and future programmes
- Lead contractual changes through stakeholder management and manage contracts through the full lifecycle
- Oversee procurement aspects of tenders and ensure robust procurement risk/opportunity reporting
- Administer complex contracts, including changes, payments, milestones, and lifecycle governance
- Mobilise and manage supplier agreements (SLA, PSAs, NDAs, export licenses) and contract change notes
- Support negotiation and drafting of contractual changes; drive supplier competitions and resilience
- Develop supplier relationships to influence outcomes and assess new suppliers for appropriate contracting
- Translate customer/project requirements into procurement documents and support Life Cycle Management governance
- Identify and mitigate commercial risks (IPR, liabilities, exchange rate) and ensure compliance and governance
Key requirements
- Experience in procurement/contracts/subcontract management or similar procurement background
- Background in services, software, training, manpower or other non-tangible procurement areas
- Ability to manage procurement strategy, surgical negotiations, and complex supplier relationships
- Experience across an international supply chain and cross-functional collaboration
- Strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills
- Understanding of risk mitigation in commercial agreements and export controls
- Experience with drafting or managing various contract types and procurement documents
