Overview

In this role you will coordinate and lead programme management services for a high-profile Air Defence programme within an Integrated Client Team. You’ll support governance, reporting, planning and assurance to enable safe, compliant delivery on a long-term defence project. The position emphasizes discretion, integrity and accountability in a secure environment. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to maintain consistent standards and drive improvements that underpin successful programme outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Manage delivery of programme management services across the programme
  • Oversee governance frameworks, reporting cycles and assurance activities
  • Coordinate planning, scheduling and performance reporting processes
  • Maintain oversight of risks, issues, actions and dependencies
  • Support senior stakeholders with information for decision-making and governance
  • Ensure consistency of management standards, processes and controls
  • Facilitate collaboration across project teams, suppliers and client stakeholders
  • Drive continuous improvement in programme services, reporting and governance
  • Support mobilisation, transition and readiness activities
  • Build strong relationships across the Integrated Client Team to enable outcomes

Key requirements

  • Experience leading PMO, Programme Services or Programme Management in complex programmes
  • Strong understanding of governance, reporting, planning and assurance processes
  • Experience supporting large-scale Defence, Aerospace, Infrastructure or similarly regulated programmes
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication and facilitation skills
  • Experience managing programme risks, issues, actions and performance reporting
  • Degree qualified or equivalent professional experience in programme management, project management or related discipline
  • Current SC clearance or eligibility and willingness to obtain/maintain UK Security Clearance (SC)
