Overview

In this role you will help build, run, and continually improve a cloud-native Trade Ledger platform that underpins front-to-back trading workflows. You will work with Global Markets and Engineering to enhance reliability, scalability and observability, driving incident response and efficiency. This is a mission-critical, production-focused engineering position at the heart of Goldman Sachs’ technology strategy. You will shape resilient systems that enable two decades of growth and transformation in a demanding financial services environment.

Responsibilities

  • Build, run and improve the CTL platform to ensure reliability and scale
  • Enhance observability with metrics, logs, traces and dashboards
  • Investigate production incidents, identify root causes and implement durable fixes
  • Drive automation to reduce toil and improve operational efficiency
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate status to stakeholders
  • Support and implement progressive delivery methods (canary, blue/green, feature flags)
  • Contribute to incident leadership and blameless post-incident learning

Key requirements

  • Strong programming ability in Java or Go with automation experience
  • Solid understanding of networking, distributed systems, data structures and software design
  • Hands-on experience with observability tooling (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, OpenTelemetry)
  • Proven ability to diagnose production issues and deliver durable fixes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication for technical and business stakeholders
