Overview

In this role you will lead end-to-end delivery of complex event sites for a global sports and entertainment organisation, coordinating multi‑discipline teams to deliver safe, on‑budget, on‑time temporary infrastructure. You’ll operate across planning, construction, live operations and de-rig, aligning with program schedules and high safety standards. The position involves extensive international travel and frequent collaboration with contractors, suppliers and stakeholders to ensure smooth transitions between project phases. This is a hands-on, fast‑paced opportunity to shape large-scale event delivery and live environments. A strong safety culture and proactive problem‑solving will be key,;

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of complex event sites from planning and construction through live operations and de-rig
  • Coordinate on-site contractors, suppliers and delivery teams across build, operations and dismantling phases
  • Ensure delivery aligns with budgets, programmes and operational requirements
  • Act as on-site authority to resolve logistical, scheduling and spatial conflicts
  • Oversee temporary infrastructure (hospitality, grandstands, media centres, retail units, technical facilities, team areas, docks, public amenities)
  • Develop and manage site sequencing, logistics and access plans
  • Identify critical path activities and mitigate delays and risks
  • Coordinate transitions between construction, live event operations and de-rig
  • Maintain site functionality during live events and respond to operational challenges
  • Ensure works are safe, compliant with health and safety requirements and RAMS
  • Manage contractor performance, access controls, inductions and workspace allocation
  • Lead post-event de-rig and demobilisation
  • Drive continuous improvement by applying lessons learned to future events

Key requirements

  • Proven experience managing large-scale construction or event site delivery projects
  • Strong track record overseeing multi-contractor environments
  • Experience developing and managing project programmes and delivery plans
  • Expertise in site logistics, sequencing and critical path management
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving in high-pressure environments
  • Solid understanding of construction health and safety legislation, RAMS and site compliance
  • Experience with temporary event infrastructure in venues or live events (advantageous)
  • Excellent reporting skills
  • Willingness and ability to travel internationally
