In this role you will lead a diverse litigation caseload within a respected Scottish law firm, balancing autonomy with close collaboration with Partners. You will appear in the Sheriff Court, handle ADR matters, and mentor junior staff, while building lasting client relationships. You’ll work in a supportive, growth-minded environment that values independent judgment and delivering excellent service. Responsibilities

• Managing litigation from instruction to resolution
• Appearing in the Sheriff Court
• Handling ADR matters including First Tier Tribunal proceedings and arbitrations
• Supervising, training and mentoring Trainees and Junior Solicitors
• Building lasting client relationships through consistent service

Key requirements

• Solid experience in general and/or commercial litigation
• Advocacy experience in the Sheriff Court and/or First Tier Tribunal
• Confident, personable client-facing skills
• Strong organisation and time management
• Commercial nous and the ability to work independently
• Collaborative mindset and reliance as a go-to for junior colleagues
