Dispute Resolution Associate / Senior Associate

Overview

As a Dispute Resolution lawyer, you will handle a broad civil and commercial disputes caseload with a focus on property disputes, debt recovery and insolvency. You’ll work within an established SW London team that values practical, commercially minded advice and close client relationships. You’ll manage matters end-to-end, from instruction to resolution, collaborating across practice areas and benefiting from strong Partner guidance. This is a growth role with meaningful responsibility in a collaborative, client-focused firm.

Responsibilities

• Manage a varied disputes caseload from instruction to resolution
• Advise on property, landlord-tenant and boundary disputes, debt recovery and insolvency
• Draft pleadings, applications and witness statements; support court proceedings and litigation strategy
• Engage in pre-action correspondence, negotiations and settlement
• Work with colleagues across Property, Commercial and other practice areas to deliver joined-up advice
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships and provide commercially focused guidance
• Take ownership of matters with appropriate autonomy and visible Partner backing

Key requirements

• 3-6 years’ PQE (England & Wales) with strong generalist disputes experience
• Experience in property disputes, debt recovery and insolvency is essential
• Experience managing matters from initial instruction through to resolution
• Strong drafting, negotiation and advocacy skills
• Good commercial awareness and practical approach to dispute resolution
• Excellent communication and client relationship skills
• Ability to manage a varied caseload with autonomy
• Collaborative approach and willingness to work across different practice areas
