Senior Consultant (Quantum, Dispute Resolution)

Overview

In this role you will deliver high-value quantum dispute resolution services to a client base across construction and engineering sectors. You will support expert witnesses and collaborate with directors on project and dispute work, with opportunities to grow into expert witness activities. You will mentor junior staff and contribute to business development within a high-performing team. The role sits at the intersection of technical quantum analysis and legal dispute advisory in a consultancy-forward environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality commercial/quantum dispute resolution services on large projects and disputes
• Support expert witnesses and assist Directors on project/dispute matters
• Provide dispute advisory and forensic support to internal and external teams
• Develop into expert witness work over time
• Engage in business development activities
• Mentor and coach junior staff

Key requirements

• Experience in quantum analysis and managing/defending quantum-related claims/disputes
• Some experience with contractors in building, infrastructure, oil & gas or power sectors
• Interest in dispute resolution, legal services, claims, arbitration and expert witness work
• Approximately 10 years post-graduation
• Degree-qualified in quantity surveying; MRICS/FRICS preferred; willingness to pursue additional legal qualifications
• Forensic mindset and strong problem-solving abilities
• Excellent written and verbal English, communication and presentation skills
• Team player with drive to develop a career in dispute resolution
