Group Product Manager, Google Labs

Overview

In this role, you guide AI-enabled products from idea to launch for researchers and scientists. You work with cross-functional teams across GDM, Google Research, and Cloud to translate LLM and GenAI breakthroughs into tangible product features. You’ll develop a solid understanding of language technologies and apply them in product contexts to solve real research problems. This position offers the chance to influence products at scale while collaborating with engineers, designers, and go-to-market teams. You will help shape accessible, user-centric AI solutions that advance research and information access.

Responsibilities

• Guide products from concept to launch in collaboration with cross-functional teams
• Apply LLM/GenAI research to product features and workflows
• Partner with research and engineering teams to translate breakthroughs into user-facing solutions
• Communicate product plans and progress to executives and stakeholders
• Advocate for accessibility considerations in product development methodologies
• Work with UX/UI, marketing, and sales teams to position and package AI products
• Drive end-to-end product development and delivery in a fast-paced environment
• Balance technical feasibility with business needs to deliver impactful AI products

Key requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
• 10 years of experience in product management or related technical role
• 5 years of experience taking technical products from conception to launch
• Experience integrating generative AI tools or LLM interfaces into workflows
• Master’s degree in a technology or business related field (preferred)
• 7 years of cross-functional collaboration with engineering, UX/UI, sales, finance, and other stakeholders (preferred)
• 7 years in a business function or role (preferred)
• 5 years of delivering technical presentations to executive leadership (preferred)
• 5 years of software development or engineering experience (preferred)
• Knowledge or interest in accessibility best practices in product development (preferred)
