Overview

You will coordinate planned and reactive maintenance across a large estate for a flagship MoD contract, leading engineering teams to deliver reliable plant and systems. You’ll ensure safety, regulatory compliance and timely repairs, with hands-on responsibility for LV/ELV electrical work as a Competent Person. The role sits within Skanska Building Services, offering professional development and flexible working on high-profile facilities. Responsibilities

  • Coordinate all planned and reactive maintenance delivered by the engineering team across the estate
  • Support the Facilities Management in providing a maintenance service
  • Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory health and safety requirements
  • Work safely on ELV/LV electrical systems as Competent Person for SFS
  • Diagnose faults and coordinate repairs within PMS timeframes for complex equipment

Key requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years relevant trade experience
  • Good knowledge of Health & Safety legislation; COSHH knowledge
  • Basic computer skills
  • BTEC/HNC or City & Guilds Craft certificate or equivalent
  • Certificate in 17th Edition IEE Regulation (Current) for LV Competent Person
  • IOSH managing safely
  • Security clearance requirements and UK residency considerations
  • ELV/LV electrical systems
  • Planned Maintenance System (PMS) coordination
  • Health & Safety legislation and COSHH awareness
  • Basic computer literacy
  • Electrical safety and regulatory compliance (Competent Person)
