Overview
In this role you support major projects by delivering accurate cost information and timely performance data. You will drive cost performance reporting, including Earned Value Management metrics, to align with project baselines. You’ll develop and maintain cost control structures, budgets, and forecasts to anticipate work to complete and estimate at complete. You will monitor risks, changes, and trends to keep baselines intact and inform future decision-making. This position offers the chance to contribute to high-impact projects within a global, engineering-focused firm.
Responsibilities
- Develop cost control data structures to track and control actual costs
- Establish project control budget aligned with baselines
- Track actual costs against cost controls structures (internal and external)
- Monitor accruals and commitments against budget constraints
- Build project forecasts including ETC and EAC
- Report project information including Earned Value Management
- Track contingency and exposure from risks and remaining risks
- Track change control to ensure alignment with baselines
- Monitor key project trends to inform future change controls
Key requirements
- Graduate in a relevant discipline
- 5–10 years’ experience in delivery of project controls for major projects or programmes
- Experience with cost control and budgeting
- Familiarity with Earned Value Management (EV)
