Civil and Structural Engineer F/H

Overview

In this role you will support two junior positions on major nuclear builds (Hinkley Point C and Sizewell C). You collaborate with suppliers and manufacturing partners to ensure components meet specs, quality, and schedules, or contribute to developing civil engineering technical specifications for nuclear facilities. You work in multidisciplinary, international environments and gain exposure to large-scale projects, with mentoring and support toward professional registration. This is a hands-on entry path in nuclear quality, manufacturing assurance, and project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturing partners to ensure components meet technical specifications, quality requirements, and project schedules
• Assist in development, review, and update of Civil Engineering Technical Specifications (Books of Technical Specifications) for nuclear facilities
• Contribute to multidisciplinary project teams across international contexts
• Engage with stakeholders to support manufacturing oversight and compliance with nuclear industry standards
• Travel regularly to supplier facilities within the UK and Europe as required

Key requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil, Structural, Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
• Recent graduate or up to 2 years of professional experience
• Basic understanding of structural steel, reinforced concrete, or mechanical equipment manufacturing
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good communication and stakeholder management abilities
• Ability to work in multidisciplinary and international environments
