Overview
In this Technical Coordinator role, you will support a busy residential development team across private housing, affordable housing, and mixed-use projects. You’ll work with the Technical Manager to keep development programmes on track and drive technical issues to resolution. You will coordinate external consultants, review construction information, and monitor progress and costs. The position offers exposure to iconic-build projects and a pathway to progressive opportunities within a forward-thinking company.
Responsibilities
- Manage project team members and provide guidance
- Initiate actions per Technical Procedures
- Support Development Programme preparation with the Technical Manager
- Brief and drive external consultants on construction information and sales/ conveyance data
- Attend site progress meetings and perform site inspections
- Prepare fortnightly project progress updates
- Review and co-ordinate development cost schedules monthly and act on findings
- Liaise and coordinate with internal and external parties
- Respond to site queries and resolve technical/construction issues
- Review value engineering opportunities with focus on show home delivery
- Assist in preparing pre-construction Health and Safety information
- Produce Health and Safety files/Operation and Maintenance Manuals and Tenant Manuals
Key requirements
- Experience delivering private residential schemes
- Knowledge of planning, architectural and engineering issues
- Strong understanding of building regulations and legislation
- Ability to work in a team or independently and drive technical issues to completion
- Experience managing multiple concurrent projects is advantageous
