Overview

In this contract Structural Engineer role, you deliver end-to-end structural solutions for large-scale, regulated projects across Energy, Defence, Nuclear, Life Sciences and Industrial sectors. You will work within an established engineering team to translate concept designs into detailed design and project execution, ensuring compliance and high technical quality. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the full engineering lifecycle and contribute to technically challenging, nationally significant projects. Responsibilities

• Deliver structural engineering designs and technical solutions for complex projects
• Produce design calculations, technical reports, specifications and supporting documentation
• Undertake structural assessments and analysis using relevant software packages
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams for integrated project delivery
• Participate in technical reviews, design meetings and client discussions
• Ensure compliance with codes, standards and project requirements
• Support projects through all phases of the engineering lifecycle

Key requirements

• Degree qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Demonstrable experience in structural engineering design and analysis
• Experience in consultancy, industrial, energy, nuclear, defence or infrastructure environments
• Proficiency with STAAD.Pro, Tekla Structural Designer, Robot Structural Analysis or similar
• Strong understanding of British Standards, Eurocodes and engineering best practice
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
