Overview
As Experimentation Senior Product Manager at ASOS, you own the end-to-end experimentation capability, setting standards, governance, and platform strategy to enable trusted business decisions from hundreds of experiments. You’ll lead a cross-functional program across Product, Analytics, and Engineering, driving measurement quality, data integration, and AI-enabled workflows. You shape the experimentation roadmap, build a broad capability, and connect outcomes to commercial value. This role combines operational governance with technical product leadership to scale a high-impact capability.

Responsibilities
- Define and own the experimentation vision, strategy and improvement roadmap aligned to business goals
- Set and enforce standards for experimentation and readiness review before launches
- Own measurement strategy with primary, secondary and guardrail metrics and improve statistical validity
- Drive adoption of Bayesian sequential testing, multivariant testing and multi-armed bandits in collaboration with analytics teams
- Oversee Optimizely platform strategy, health, vendor relationships, incident management and roadmap influence
- Design AI-enabled experimentation workflows with governance for AI-assisted experiments
- Improve data quality through ADE integration and metric certification with Product Analytics and Data
- Define standard experiment workflow, launch gates and decision frameworks to catch quality issues early
- Lead the Experimentation Forum and Champion network, supporting PMs with planning and best practices
- Define and track KPIs for experimentation capability health and report to senior leadership
- Collaborate across Product, Engineering, Analytics, Trade and Data to align experimentation with company goals
- Champion quasi-experimental methods (diff-in-diff, synthetic control, matched market tests) and build playbooks
- Develop frameworks to measure financial impact of experiments and tie outcomes to KPIs
Key requirements
- Extensive experience running experimentation programs at scale across multiple teams, preferably in ecommerce or digital consumer environments
- Proficiency in frequentist and Bayesian methods, sequential testing, multivariant testing and multi-armed bandits
- Experience designing primary, secondary and guardrail metrics and diagnosing inconclusive results
- Hands-on ownership of an enterprise experimentation platform (e.g., Optimizely) including integration and capability assessment
- Knowledge of experiment data pipelines, event validation and metric certification
- Ability to define and enforce standards across teams without direct authority
- Experience applying product management to internal capability, tooling and process
- Awareness of AI applications in analytics and governance
- Experience managing strategic software vendor relationships and roadmaps
- Strong communication skills with ability to translate measurement issues into commercial impact
- Background in statistics, mathematics, economics or related quantitative field (preferred)
- Credible in presenting to Directors and diagnosing quality problems at root cause
