In this role, you own the roadmap for Checkout’s AML transaction monitoring engine, guiding detection, tooling, and improvements. You partner with engineering, Compliance, and Risk to ship an evolving in-house platform that reduces false positives while preserving risk coverage. Responsibilities

  • Own the AML transaction monitoring roadmap end-to-end, from detection rules to investigator tooling
  • Reduce false positives at scale by combining traditional rules with LLMs
  • Collaborate closely with engineering, Compliance and Risk to ship and iterate on the in-house platform
  • Navigate a dynamic, evolving compliance environment while driving technical and organizational change

Key requirements

  • Proven product management experience shipping data-driven or risk products, ideally in fintech or payments
  • Strong grasp of risk, false positives, and operational monitoring workflows
  • Comfort collaborating with engineering to build and iterate backend platforms
  • Resilience and influence to push change in imperfect or ambiguous processes
  • Ability to use data, insights, and ML/LLM models to set priorities and improve performance
