Foundation Solution Architect – Apple Devices & macOS (Tenant-to-Tenant Migration)

Overview

As a Foundation direction setter for endpoint migration, you define target‑state standards, guardrails, and runbooks to enable enterprise‑scale tenant‑to‑tenant transitions (Windows/Intune/Autopilot). You translate pilot learnings into repeatable, hardened patterns for scalable delivery. You’ll lead cross‑functional coordination and ensure security, readiness, and governance across migration waves. This role offers meaningful impact shaping standard practices for large‑scale device migrations within a global program.

Responsibilities

• Define endpoint target‑state standards and guardrails for the consolidated tenant
• Plan tenant‑to‑tenant endpoint migration approach (sequencing, join state, Autopilot, Intune enrolment)
• Create and govern endpoint runbooks, quality gates, and validation checklists
• Define exception patterns for complex device populations and high‑risk groups
• Lead pilot design/support and translate learnings into hardened standards
• Coordinate cross‑discipline dependencies (Identity, Security, Conditional Access, Shared Data, user readiness)
• Define telemetry/KPIs for device migrations and evidence requirements
• Provide escalation guidance to Scale/Factory leads for complex migrations
• Ensure security and access controls during migration waves
• Support cutover readiness reviews and go/no‑go evidence for endpoint components

Key requirements

• Delivered tenant‑to‑tenant endpoint migration in production (Intune/Windows)
• Deep practical Intune expertise (enrolment, compliance, configuration profiles, reporting, troubleshooting)
• Practical understanding of Autopilot concepts and tenant transition sequencing
• Strong PowerShell and operational troubleshooting capability
• Proven ability to write/run/ govern runbooks and quality gates for repeatable delivery
• Willingness to support early/late calls and global cutovers
• Strong documentation discipline: create reusable patterns, not tribal knowledge
