AWS Cloud Engineer – FinTech

Overview

In this role you will design, operate and secure AWS-based platforms for a fintech client launching an e-factoring platform and CRM from scratch. You will work within a tight Platform and Infrastructure team to ensure scalable, reliable cloud services. You’ll optimize costs, implement secure designs, and support incident resolution with on-call readiness. The environment emphasizes a fast, high-performance tech culture with a relaxed, open atmosphere. This is a chance to shape critical cloud infrastructure on a brand-new project with significant impact.

Responsibilities

• Maintain day-to-day effectiveness and security of AWS-hosted platforms
• Support technical projects and transfer knowledge to internal teams
• Provide SME guidance to support and development teams
• Identify opportunities to reduce cost, complexity and instability in cloud infra
• Ensure cloud systems are monitored, secure and available
• Design and implement security across core IT technologies
• Comply with change control and release management processes
• Support major incident and problem management to identify root causes and mitigations
• Provide out-of-hours support as part of on-call service

Key requirements

• Operational support and design of AWS IaaS/SaaS platforms
• Automation experience with CloudFormation and Ansible (or equivalent)
• Linux and Microsoft system administration including patching, security and monitoring
• Understanding of CI/CD pipeline management
• Knowledge of networking, security and related protocols
• Experience with web app topologies including IIS
• IT Operations processes for cloud delivery
• Experience with infrastructure and service monitoring solutions (open source, e.g., Zabbix)
