Overview
In this role you will identify, analyse and respond to risks across the client programme lifecycle to help keep the programme on track and aligned with its goals. You will work closely with risk leads and stakeholders to shape the programme’s risk profile and mitigation approach. Based on NBCC Euston, you will lead risk governance and deliver dashboards and risk insights to support informed decisions. This is a high-pace, infrastructure-focused opportunity to influence risk management practices in a sensitive operational context.
Responsibilities
- Lead and maintain the Tranche 4 NBCC Euston risk register with accurate risk identification and assessment
- Collaborate with Joint Programme Team risk leads to support the wider programme risk profile
- Chair monthly risk review meetings, run risk workshops, and produce minutes and dashboards
- Identify risks and opportunities and implement effective mitigation plans
- Review risks regularly to eliminate duplication, ensure quality and manageability of the portfolio
- Monitor and report mitigation progress and ensure risk reduction over time
- Support Quantitative Risk Analysis activities including Schedule Risk Analysis and Cost Risk Analysis
- Lead assumptions management and maintain the Master Data and Assumptions List (MDAL)
- Provide strategic risk insights and profiling across programme activities and timelines
- Build strong stakeholder relationships and promote collaborative risk management practices
- Manage relationships with industry partners and suppliers and monitor performance
- Ensure compliance with project processes, governance requirements and key infrastructure standards
Key requirements
- Minimum 3-5 years’ risk management experience, including lead or sole risk manager roles
- On-site availability 2-4 days per week
- Strong knowledge of risk management processes, frameworks and governance
- Ability to analyse complex data to develop a strategic view of risk exposure
- Experience identifying trends and providing risk insights and reporting
- Strong organisational, leadership and stakeholder management skills
- Experience delivering risk management within major infrastructure projects/programmes
