Overview

As Risk Manager you will support varied projects by capturing and prioritizing risks, enabling timely risk budgeting and mitigation to meet time/cost/quality targets. You contribute to client objectives by designing risk processes, running risk workshops, and maintaining risk information. The role offers exposure to nuclear sector projects within a growth-focused, collaborative team. You will work cross-functionally to drive risk maturity, with a clear impact on project outcomes and client value.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and tailor risk management processes to client needs
  • Facilitate risk workshops with subject matter experts
  • Create and maintain risk registers and information
  • Challenge risk data to improve robustness
  • Drive mitigation actions across projects and programmes
  • Develop measurable management responses post-mitigation
  • Conduct Quantitative Risk Assessment (QRA) for cost/schedule
  • Demonstrate competency with tools like Safran, @risk, PRA
  • Produce risk reports using PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Power BI
  • Familiar with web-based tools such as ARM, Xactium, Predict, Tableau
  • Collaborate with Project Controls to align project information
  • Engage with supply chain to understand and integrate risks
  • Possess professional risk management experience across project lifecycles
  • Be open to nuclear sector experience and flexible in risk strategy adjustments
  • Communicate complex risk information to stakeholders
  • Obtain BPSS level security clearance
  • Be member of a professional body (e.g., IRM, APM)
  • Familiarity with risk standards such as ISO31000, APM, Orange Book, IPA
  • Desirable risk qualification such as APM Risk Certificate Level 2 or MoR
  • Demonstrate verbal and written communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience in Project Controls teams and desire to work in the nuclear sector
