Overview

In this role you support the London and South region in delivering NEC Supervisor consultancy services, working with Building Surveying and Project Management teams. You will monitor site quality, review works against design information, and ensure adherence to NEC contracts and safety standards. You collaborate across disciplines and communicate findings through online platforms. The role involves managing your workload independently on central government projects, with support from the Building Surveying team. This is a hands-on opportunity to shape delivery on high-profile construction pipelines in a safety-conscious, client-focused environment.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver NEC Supervisor and site quality monitoring for central government projects
  • Demonstrate strong understanding of NEC contracts and NEC Supervisor role
  • Review on-site works for design conformance, contract and best practice
  • Collaborate with Engineers, Architects, Project Managers and client stakeholders
  • Communicate findings effectively, including online reporting
  • Manage own workload and work autonomously
  • Maintain focus on safety and understand construction health and safety risks
  • Report progress, compliance and defects using traditional reports and online platforms (Asite, CEMAR)

Key requirements

  • A relevant construction degree or equivalent qualification
  • SC Clearance (not essential)
  • Chartered Building Surveyor/Engineer/Architect (not essential)
  • NEC Supervisor Accreditation (not essential)
  • Clear written and verbal communication
  • Collaborative mindset across multidisciplinary teams
  • Independent work capability
  • Strong NEC contract knowledge
  • Experience with NEC Supervisor role
  • Building technology knowledge including MMC
