Overview

In this role you will manage purchasing activities, cultivate supplier relationships, and ensure timely, quality acquisitions. You will work with cross-functional teams to support operational goals and strengthen procurement strategies. You will analyze market trends and supplier performance to drive value and cost savings. Responsibilities

• Develop and implement purchasing strategies aligned with organizational goals
• Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to secure best value
• Oversee procurement from requisition to PO, including delivery coordination
• Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with inventory management to optimize stock
• Analyze market trends, pricing, and supplier performance to inform decisions
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships and address issues
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to forecast needs for projects
• Prepare purchasing reports with cost analyses and savings opportunities
• Ensure policy and regulatory compliance in procurement

Key requirements

• 3–5 years of procurement/purchasing experience, preferably in agricultural manufacturing
• Experience with ERP or similar MRP systems
• Knowledge of manufacturing methods such as Kanban, Lean, and 5S
• Proven performance in strategic materials management
• Excellent customer service and relationship-building skills
• Strong oral and written communication abilities
• Self-driven, with a high work ethic
• Excellent organizational and time management skills with prioritization
• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, Outlook, and internal systems
