Overview

As a Buyer at Oxford Instruments Andor, you help enable cutting-edge scientific work by ensuring timely, cost-effective procurement of goods and services. You will join the-wide Supply Chain team to build strong supplier relationships and pursue efficient sourcing for electrical and mechanical products. This on-site role in Belfast moves to a hybrid setup after probation, placing you at the center of a fast-paced, mission-driven organization. You will work to support innovative imaging, spectroscopy and microscopy initiatives that advance research and industry.

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely and efficient procurement of goods and services
• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with suppliers
• Collaborate with the wider Supply Chain team to align procurement with operations
• Support ERP/MRP-driven procurement processes when required

Key requirements

• 3 GCSEs including English & Maths
• 3 years’ experience in a purchasing/buyer role
• Experience in procuring electrical and mechanical products
• Good communicator and positive can-do attitude
• Experience working with an ERP/MRP system
