Buyer

Overview

As Buyer, you will manage daily demand planning and supplier relationships to keep production flowing cost-effectively. You will negotiate, consolidate suppliers, and monitor delivery and quality data to support end-to-end manufacturing. The role sits within Purchasing & Supply Chain, collaborating cross-functionally to improve SQCDP targets. You help reduce lead times and costs while maintaining dependable supply in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily demand planning aligned with MOQ/MOV, lead times, and receipt activity
• Build and maintain supplier relationships with clear communication and escalation when needed
• Maintain quality documentation accuracy and data integrity
• Collaborate with suppliers and internal quality teams on permits and corrective actions
• Negotiate cost reductions, protect pricing, and strengthen terms via supplier consolidation
• Manage open demand to meet dispatch targets, tracking promised dates and variances

Key requirements

• Proven experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain with influence over buying decisions
• Enthusiastic, self-motivated team player with ownership of supplier base and OTIF
• Strong communication and customer-focused mindset for supplier partnerships
• Ability to work under time pressure while staying organized and detail-oriented
• Familiarity with commercial controls like payment terms, price variation, and supplier performance tracking
• Collaborative, cross-functional approach with understanding of quality, safety, and delivery expectations
