Overview

In this role you will join a specialist disputes team to handle a mix of contentious and regulatory matters for a diverse client base across sports, media, and commercial sectors. You will work alongside experienced lawyers on high-profile disputes, develop strong client relationships, and contribute to growing the disputes practice through business development. The role offers exposure to arbitration, regulatory forums, and High Court litigation in a dynamic, cross-functional environment. This is a chance to develop technical expertise and advocacy in a niche litigation field.

Responsibilities

  • Advise on disputes before specialist dispute resolution and regulatory fora
  • Advise on arbitration and regulatory proceedings, including sporting sector matters
  • Handle High Court and other commercial litigation, including media and social media disputes
  • Advise on disciplinary and regulatory investigations and misconduct/regulatory issues
  • Advise clubs, players, athletes and agents on contentious matters
  • Collaborate with experienced colleagues on high-profile disputes
  • Develop strong client relationships and provide commercially focused advice
  • Contribute to business development and growth of the disputes practice

Key requirements

  • Qualified solicitor with right to practise in England & Wales
  • Newly Qualified to 4 years PQE (exceptional candidates considered)
  • Strong academic background and excellent communication skills
  • Experience in Dispute Resolution or related contentious practice
  • Genuine interest in developing specialist litigation expertise
  • Excellent analytical, organizational and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Collaborative approach with entrepreneurial mindset; willingness to develop business development
  • Experience in sports or media law is advantageous but not essential
