Senior Sub Editor

Overview

In this role, you will sub-edit across Homes brands, primarily using InDesign, ensuring copy accuracy and consistency with house style. You’ll work to tight deadlines and may deputise for senior editors, while potentially handling pages for other Future print brands. You join a collaborative subbing/production team that supports a diverse portfolio of home-focused titles. This position offers the chance to shape editorial quality and contribute to a fast-paced, cross-brand workflow.

Responsibilities

• Sub-edit across multiple Homes brands, focusing on layout in InDesign and copy accuracy
• Maintain house style and ensure editorial integrity under deadlines
• Coordinate with editors and other teams; deputise for Chief Sub Editor and Production Editors as needed
• Potentially sub-edit pages for other Future print brands
• Utilise CMS systems to manage content workflows

Key requirements

• Sub-editing/production experience
• Proficiency in Adobe InDesign and Google Suite
• Expertise in CMS systems
