Overview

As Site Engineer you will manage engineering and technical aspects of construction projects, ensuring compliance with contract specs and drawings while championing health, safety, and environmental standards. You will work closely with clients and advisors, implement company systems for sustainability, quality, and management, and support continuous improvement. This role offers frontline impact on site outcomes and culture, with opportunities to lead junior staff development.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure project works comply with contract specifications and drawings; maintain records to confirm compliance
  • Build and sustain effective relationships with the customer and representatives
  • Implement the company’s Strategy and Policies for Sustainability, Health & Safety, Quality, Environmental, Training and Development, modeling company culture
  • Implement the Companies Business Management System
  • Implement Asite as the project CDE and Integrated Management System
  • Proactively identify and resolve problems on site
  • Support initiatives for ongoing continuous improvement
  • Line management responsibilities including annual appraisal and development for junior staff

Key requirements

  • Degree (or similar equivalent) in a relevant construction subject
  • Experience (Graduate + 2 years min) in a site engineer role for a main contractor
  • SMSTS qualification
  • CSCS card
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to use initiative and apply logical/critical thinking
  • Robust analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail
