Overview
In this role you will provide actuarial support for UK Defined Benefit pensions, working with trustee and corporate clients on valuations, costings, and complex projects. You will contribute to integrated risk management and plan design initiatives, shape journey planning, and collaborate across a supportive, increasingly flexible team. You will mentor junior colleagues and lead project delivery with strong client engagement. This opportunity combines technical pension actuarial work with a collaborative culture and hybrid working.

Responsibilities
- Deliver core UK DB pension actuarial work for diverse clients (trustee and corporate)
- Support valuations, accounting, PPF levies, individual calculations, and factor reviews
- Contribute to projects like integrated risk management, liability management, GMP equalisation, plan design, asset-liability modelling, and M&A
- Mentor and delegate to junior colleagues, managing projects and client communication
- Engage in cross-functional collaboration and adapt to hybrid working arrangements
Key requirements
- Experience as a pension actuary on core UK defined benefit pensions actuarial work
- IFoA nearly qualified OR qualified actuary
- Strong client-service orientation
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proven delegation skills and a desire to coach and mentor junior colleagues
- Sense of accountability and pride in work
