Overview

Join AECOM as a Civil Engineer to contribute to drainage, highway, and utility schemes across public and private sector projects. You will work within a multidisciplinary Civil Engineering team to deliver concept designs, surveys, and development infrastructure while coordinating with regulators and stakeholders. Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review survey specifications (utilities and topographical surveys)
  • Check and coordinate studies, assessments, and conceptual designs for development schemes (drainage, highways, utilities, earthworks, flood risk)
  • Contribute to design and delivery of highways, drainage, and infrastructure for complex, multidisciplinary developments
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies and key stakeholders to secure approvals and ensure compliance
  • Contribute to bids/proposals, attend project meetings, and communicate technical solutions

Key requirements

  • Bachelor in Civil Engineering
  • Relevant UK development infrastructure experience
  • Ability to design highways, access roads, and infrastructure including road geometry, public realm, earthworks, pavements, drainage and services
  • Familiarity with relevant standards and guidance
  • Knowledge of road design using 3D modelling (Civil 3D)
  • Knowledge of drainage design including piped and SuDS systems; familiarity with InfoDrainage
  • Progress towards IEng/CEng (preferred)
  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • Stakeholder liaison and collaboration
  • Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams
