Site Engineer

Overview

In this role you will lead day-to-day on-site engineering with a focus on setting out and QA. You will work closely with the Site Manager and project team to ensure work is aligned with drawings, specifications and tolerances, while maintaining rigorous QA records. You’ll resolve technical issues on site and support safe, efficient delivery across Yorkshire and beyond. Responsibilities

• Carrying out setting out and surveying duties on site
• Providing engineering support to the Site Manager and project team
• Ensuring works follow drawings, specifications and tolerances
• Conducting QA checks and maintaining QA records
• Reviewing drawings and construction information
• Identifying and resolving technical issues on site
• Liaising with subcontractors, suppliers and the project team
• Maintaining accurate site records and reporting discrepancies
• Supporting safe, efficient delivery to programme

Key requirements

• Experience as Site Engineer in construction
• Strong setting-out and surveying skills
• Experience with QA and site documentation
• Ability to read/interprete engineering drawings and specs
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Good communication and organisational skills
• Ability to work independently and in a site team
• Proactive problem-solving approach
• Relevant engineering qualifications or demonstrable site engineering experience
• Full UK driving licence
