Overview

In this role you will help asset-intensive clients, especially in the UK transport sector, strengthen OT performance and asset management maturity. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to diagnose OT maintenance, renewal and decision processes, and apply risk-based practices to improve reliability and lifecycle outcomes. The opportunity combines asset strategy, data analytics and governance to deliver measurable improvements in safety-critical infrastructure. You will operate within a multidisciplinary asset-management context to shape modern practices.

Responsibilities

  • Improve the performance of OT and asset systems
  • Diagnose how OT assets are maintained, monitored and renewed
  • Identify opportunities to enhance reliability, resilience and availability of OT systems
  • Strengthen maintenance, inspection and renewal using risk-based, proactive AM practices
  • Apply ISO 55001-aligned asset-management principles to clarify roles and lifecycle controls
  • Support development of asset-management system elements such as governance, standards, assurance and continuous improvement
  • Shape lifecycle approaches that drive consistent performance
  • Analyse performance, risk and operational data to inform investment and improvement plans
  • Recommend actions to improve performance, reliability and sustainability of OT estates
  • Support transformation and delivery through operating-model improvements and digital tools

Key requirements

  • Exposure to OT environments (SCADA-linked assets, control rooms, roadside systems, industrial automation)
  • Experience in engineering, maintenance, operations, reliability or infrastructure management
  • Experience in asset-management roles covering lifecycle planning and performance management
  • Experience working with operational or performance data
  • Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills
  • Ability to translate operational issues into business implications (performance, cost, risk, safety)
  • Clear communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
  • Curiosity to develop deeper expertise in asset management and OT
