Overview
In this role you will support a market-leading Financial & Professional Risks practice by advising policyholders in high-value disputes across courts and consumer schemes. You will handle complex indemnity, D&O, FI and coverage matters, report to insurers with precise strategy, and contribute to business development. You’ll work with cross-functional teams to deliver practical, cost-efficient claims solutions and deepen understanding of the professional indemnity market. This is a high-stakes role with significant impact on client outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Handle complex professional indemnity, D&O, FI and coverage matters
- Advise on scope of duty, breach, causation, quantum and policy liability issues
- Report to insurer clients with strict service standards, reserving, case planning and strategy
- Apply Civil Procedure Rules knowledge (costs management, Part 36, funding, interim applications, disclosure, expert instructions)
- Stay updated on civil procedure reforms and pilot schemes (Online Court, Fixed Recoverable Costs, Disclosure Pilot)
- Deliver commercial, cost-efficient claims solutions via ADR, expert/QC determinations, arbitration, adjudication and negotiation
- Build strong relationships with policyholders, insurers, brokers and Counsel
- Develop understanding of the professional indemnity insurance market
- Support marketing and business development initiatives within the team
