Digital Programme Manager

Overview

As a Digital Programme Manager within the Digital Transformation Team, you will steer a diverse portfolio of digital change across the council, ensuring investments in digital, data and technology translate into real improvements for residents and staff. You’ll provide strategic oversight, govern programmes, manage risks and dependencies, and realise benefits while engaging senior stakeholders and suppliers. The role connects services and tech teams to deliver meaningful outcomes aligned with the Digital Strategy. Responsibilities

• Lead programme management across the portfolio with governance, reporting and dependency tracking
• Manage risks and dependencies and monitor benefits realisation
• Coordinate with services, technology teams and suppliers to stay aligned with the Digital Strategy
• Engage senior stakeholders and build trusted cross‑organisational relationships
• Ensure outcomes improve resident, community and staff experiences
• Support transformation initiatives through collaborative leadership across boundaries
