Application Engineering Director

Overview

In this strategic leadership role, you will head the global Power MOSFET Application Engineering organization, guiding PDE and CAE teams to translate customer needs into competitive products. You will shape the Automotive and Industrial Power MOSFET portfolio, align with product management and R&D, and drive excellent technical execution and customer support. The position offers high-impact collaboration across Marketing, Quality, Sales, Operations, and key OEMs/Tier-1s. You’ll influence technology roadmaps and lead a cross-functional, international engineering organization.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop global PDE and CAE teams for power MOSFET applications
• Translate market and customer needs into clear product specifications and roadmaps
• Drive product definition from concept to production release with quality and cost targets
• Lead strategic customer engagement with Automotive and Industrial customers
• Collaborate with Marketing, R&D, Quality, Operations and Sales to improve processes and product planning
• Represent Application Engineering in business reviews and planning discussions
• Foster continuous improvements in engineering processes and customer support

Key requirements

• Master’s degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Physics or related discipline
• 10+ years of semiconductor industry experience
• Several years of people leadership experience in engineering
• Strong experience with Power MOSFETs or related power electronics technologies
• Experience working with Automotive and/or Industrial customers
• Proven success leading cross-functional and international projects
