Planning Manager

Overview

In this role you will lead planning and delivery for complex projects within Mace’s consult practice, aligning with safety, sustainability and client objectives. You’ll steer planning performance, coordinate with senior stakeholders, and ensure compliance and value across projects and tenders. You will partner with cross-functional teams to share knowledge and drive continuous improvement, while accommodating travel to client sites. Responsibilities

• Manage delivery of key assignments and provide strategic direction aligned with vision and objectives
• Support planning function to ensure projects and tenders are effectively planned, scheduled, and monitored
• Assist senior management with negotiations, contract development and due diligence
• Contribute to long-term strategy for a function or business unit and support sustainable business growth
• Develop and maintain relationships with client and project stakeholders, and promote knowledge sharing across teams
• Advocate for safety, quality, cost, programme, sustainability, and project compliance standards on portfolio projects

Key requirements

• Membership of APM, RICS, CIOB, ICE, AACE, IRM, IEMA or equivalent demonstrable professional or personal development
• Extensive experience in the successful planning of projects and programmes
• Deep property or infrastructure project management expertise
• Strong commercial and financial acumen
• Leadership and management experience of large, diverse teams
• Experience of managing relationships with key senior stakeholders
• Knowledge of how carbon and sustainability considerations will shape project outlook
