Project Design Engineer – Civil

Overview

In this role you drive the design and delivery of water and wastewater projects within a design-and-build context. You work with a cross-functional team to guide projects from outline through detailed design, construction, and handover, balancing technical, constructability, and commercial considerations. You will mentor colleagues and foster strong client relationships to enable project success. This role offers a clear path to chartership and opportunities to broaden your cross-discipline expertise while working flexibly across home, office, and site. Responsibilities

• Lead the design of treatment or infrastructure projects from outline to detailed design, through construction, commissioning and handover
• Coordinate civil, electrical, mechanical and process designers, BIM modelers and technical specialists to meet programme, budget and quality targets
• Undertake design in own discipline and mentor less experienced teammates
• Foster strong client relationships with project, operations and technical assurance teams to promote a one-team approach

Key requirements

• Accredited Degree in Civil Engineering
• Incorporated Member of Engineering Institution
• Outline and detailed design experience of water or wastewater projects
• Knowledge of the Designer or Principal Designer duties under CDM 2015
