Overview

As a Programme Manager in Helsing’s Land domain, you drive end-to-end delivery of complex software-enabled capabilities for defence customers. You own key stakeholder relationships and steer cross-functional teams using agile methods to align technical milestones with commercial goals. You translate performance data into clear leadership reporting and surface risks early to enable timely course corrections. This role sits at the intersection of engineering, commercial delivery, and operations, offering a chance to shape mission-critical solutions in a high-stakes environment.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update programme roadmaps and steering dashboards with KPIs across engineering milestones and contract obligations
  • Facilitate sprint cadences, backlog refinement, standups, and retrospectives with software and AI teams
  • Translate contractual milestones into iterative product roadmaps and sprint backlogs
  • Serve as primary point of contact for customer and partner stakeholders, ensuring commitments are met at every milestone
  • Manage commercial engagement within the programme, identifying opportunities and supporting proposals
  • Coordinate across engineering, commercial and operational workstreams to align contributors with challenges over monthly to quarterly timelines
  • Monitor programme risks and prepare forward-looking course-correction recommendations for leadership

Key requirements

  • End-to-end delivery of software products in B2B/B2G using agile methodologies
  • Hands-on Scrum Master experience facilitating agile ceremonies and backlog management
  • Strong senior stakeholder relationships and commercial awareness
  • Developed programme steering mechanisms, dashboards and risk frameworks; reporting for senior leadership
  • PMP certification or equivalent, or actively working towards one
  • Fluent English; willingness to travel across sites including Andover, UK; able to meet national security clearance requirements
