Overview

As a Machine Learning Engineer at Autodesk Research, you partner with researchers and engineers to bring ML-powered capabilities into Autodesk products. You’ll build and test ML pipelines and prototypes in a fast, research-driven setting, iterating with evolving requirements. Collaboration with a global team and hands-on work with 2D/3D data will shape generative AI features for real-world products. This role offers impact across research, product, and scalable AI initiatives in a hybrid London environment.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate on research-product intersection projects with a global team
  • Build and iterate ML pipelines, prototypes, and evaluation workflows for rapid deployment
  • Handle complex datasets and representations for model training, evaluation, and analysis
  • Analyze model errors and propose solutions
  • Present results to collaborators and leadership

Key requirements

  • 3+ years of machine learning experience
  • Experience in research or experimental environments with evolving requirements
  • Proficiency with PyTorch and HuggingFace
  • Experience with computational geometry and 3D data (meshes, B-Rep)
  • Experience with diverse data representations including 2D and 3D geometry
  • Experience with version control, reproducibility, and deploying ML models
  • Experience using modern AI/GenAI tools in development or experimentation workflows
  • Excellent written documentation skills
