About the role:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Grantham from September 2026. You will work closely with pupils who have a range of Special Educational Needs, including ASD, ADHD, speech and language needs, and social‑emotional challenges.
This is a full-time vacancy that has the potential of becoming permanent for the right candidate, after an initial trial period on supply.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 and small‑group support to pupils with SEN
- Assist the class teacher with planning and delivering tailored learning activities
- Implement EHCP targets and follow behaviour support plans
- Create a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment
- Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals
Pre-requisites:
- Experience working with children with SEN (school, care, youth work, or similar)
- A calm, nurturing, and resilient approach
- A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
- Ability to provide two education or school based references
