In this role you will shape road safety outcomes across local authority schemes and major programmes, ensuring safety is integrated from concept to delivery. You will be a key voice in how infrastructure is designed and experienced, helping to raise safety standards across the UK and beyond. You’ll work within a collaborative Transportation team on high-profile projects, delivering safety-focused audits and reviews. Responsibilities
- Deliver road safety audits and operational safety reviews that influence design outcomes
- Collaborate with designers, clients and stakeholders to embed safety from concept through delivery
- Contribute to safety risk assessments and collision analysis as part of project reviews
- Support the team on high-profile projects (e.g., HS2, local authority schemes)
- Influence decisions at the design stage to improve public safety
Key requirements
- DMRB GG119 Certificate of Competence and current compliance with DMRB GG119 as Audit Team Leader or Member
- Good understanding of design standards
- Membership of a relevant recognised industry Institute / Institution and eligibility to work towards IEng/CEng
- Full UK driving licence
