Business Systems Analyst – Insurance Systems

Overview

In this role you will bridge business needs and technical delivery for insurance systems. You’ll configure systems to client specs, produce feasibility and proposal documents, and liaise with clients and internal teams to ensure solutions meet requirements. You’ll blend analysis with SQL-driven configuration, write user guides, and lead implementation and testing to deliver impactful insurance workflows. This position offers remote work with periodic in-person meetings and a focus on client-facing delivery in a dynamic insurance tech environment.

Responsibilities

• Configure insurance systems to meet client specifications
• Produce project feasibility reports
• Liaise with external clients or internal resources
• Create documentation and MIS reports using tools like Crystal and MS Report Builder
• Build SQL queries and report on/modify databases
• Translate client requirements into project documents
• Assess technical and business suitability of options
• Develop innovative solutions to complex problems
• Draft proposals for system modifications or replacements
• Present proposals to clients
• Collaborate with developers and end users for technical compatibility
• Draw up testing schedules for product/model testing
• Take responsibility for project implementation
• Plan and work to deadlines
• Write user manuals
• Provide training to users of new systems
• Stay updated with technical and industry developments
• Undertake other related duties as required
